Introduction

Special Award YB Minister of Education Malaysia: Innovative Curriculum and Delivery Design (AKRI)

This award aims to identify, give recognition and share best practices of projects and initiatives that have been implemented either at institutions or individuals levels in THREE categories :

  1. Innovative Studies Program Curriculum Award
  • The award is aimed at identifying innovative and rebranded higher education programs at all levels so as to successfully produce graduates with high marketability and competitiveness

     

    2. Transformative Teaching Award
  • The award is divided into 2 sub-categories, Non-Lecture and Alternative Assessment

    3. Imersible Teaching Award

  • The award is divided into 3 sub-categories, Maya Immersive, Mixed Imsative and Immersive Face

In order to provide academic candidates to AKRI nominations, PPA has outlined several initiatives in disseminating information on candidacy requirements and also providing exposure and training for interested academic staff. This partnership session is one of the initiatives undertaken by PPA for the preparation of candidates to AKRI as well as related awards.

In addition, PPA also hopes that this program will inject motivation into UPSI’s academic spirit to improve their respective PdP processes and in particular in achieving the award in accordance with UPSI’s intention to become the No. 1 Education University.

Program Objective

  • Provide a platform for sharing sessions between AKRI and UPSI Academy awards.
  • Provide exposure on good practices of PdP initiatives from AKRI recipients to Academics at UPSI.
  • Train and produce academic staff who are viable, creative and innovative in their PdP and indirectly produce quality students and relevant to current educational development
